Playoff Picks FAQs
- What are Playoff Picks?
- It's part of the fabulous package included with your Wallyball entry fee! In simplest terms, it's a chance to earn extra money without spending a dime!
- When are these due?
- We'd like to have your picks before the Thursday night game between Dallas and Tennessee, even though we have a pretty good guess on how that game will turn out.
- Sounds great! What do I have to do?
- Please guess the top 7 playoff seeds in each conference.
- How will this be scored?
- For each playoff team you get correct, you get a point.
- You'll get another point if you get their seed correct.
- Using last year's playoffs as an example, if you picked Buffalo as the #1 seed in the AFC, you would get a point for having Buffalo on your playoff list. But if you picked the Bills as the #3 seed in the AFC, you'd get 2 points total: one for having Buffalo and one for having the correct seed.
- How do payouts work?
- The person with the most points wins $40. Ties will split the prize.
- What about the rule about only one prize?
- Since this only applies to regular Wallyball (Top 3, $50/50%, 2nd to last and last), everyone is eligible to win the playoff prediction. This is probably great news to Greg's friends and family, given how well they're doing this year!
- Who won last year?
- Wally had 12 of the 14 playoff teams correct, 6 of them in the right seed. With 18 points, he won by a point- thanks to the Niners beating the Rams in one of the last games of the day.
- You can see some of the results below to get a better idea of how this works.
- It seems pretty late in the season to be doing this. Doesn't that make it easier because a bunch of teams have been eliminated? Why didn't we do this sooner?
- Shhh. Next question.
- I have other questions which you haven't answered yet. Now what?
